5 Gifts for Kiddos That Keep On Giving

It is so much fun to buy gifts for our kids, isn't it? The joy expressed on Christmas morning usually has me smiling from ear to ear! My favorite kinds of gifts to give are those that just keep on giving! Here are five of our favorites we like to give to our daughter and her friends.

1. Lamplighter Theatre

I have loved Lamplighter Theatre for years! I have very fond memories of playing them in my classroom for my students, and I couldn't wait to someday share them with my own kids. The quality of these audio dramas is truly impressive! They are literally as good as watching a movie! The characters are played by professional actors, and the stories will draw you in from the very beginning. The story lines teach really great values such as obedience, unselfishness, bravery and so much more...which is one reason why I love giving these for gifts. They are great for people of all ages, young and old. I won't lie, I bought them for myself before I ever became a mom! And now my daughter loves them, and she's only six!

2. The Extraordinary Adventures of G.A. Henty

Everything I wrote above, I could really copy and paste here. Heirloom Audio puts out these audio drama adventures that are all based on the books written by G. A. Henty. He was an 1800's author who wrote historical novels for juveniles. His stories ooze with chivalry, heroes, character lessons, and great values. Another winner for us!

I have actually never seen these audiobooks on sale, but they do have a bundle deal, where you can choose 4 titles and get a better price.

3. Kiwi Crate Subscription

I know! I know! Everyone talks about Kiwi Crates. To be honest, the typical full year subscription is a little out of our price range for what I like to spend, but we love to get at least one box, if not the 3 or 6 month subscription. They provide everything you need for a fun project or two according to their age level. The directions are simple and straight forward, and they are a ton of fun, and keep them busy for some time! 4. National Geographic Magazine Subscription

5. Snapshop Online Photography School

This is another one that is really great if you have a child interested in photography. There is a one-time registration payment, (which is 50% off right now through December 2nd) and then a $5 monthly subscription fee for as long as you want to keep it. Ashley has put a ton of work into these courses, and they are so awesome! She uses simple language and puts everything in a way that is so easy to understand. (I finally learned how to use my DSLR in manual mode through her courses.) The awesome thing is they launched a course just for kids recently, and it is SO GOOD! I cannot wait till E is old enough to take the kids' course.
